The Auditor-General, Dr. Pamela Graham, in August commenced a nationwide regional tour to engage with staff and key stakeholders on ways of deepening public accountability and strengthening institutional collaborations.
The tour began with visits to the Northern and Upper East Regions, in the company of the Board members of the Service, all Deputy Auditors-General and some key staff.
As part of the engagements, she inspected project sites, visited existing office spaces and met with staff within the respective regions, interacting with them firsthand. She also held discussions with the Regional Ministers, some District Chief Executives, and institutional heads, with plans to pay homage to the chiefs of the lands in subsequent regions.
The Regional tours will continue across the country over the next few months to strengthen relationships, better understand regional perspectives and reinforce the role of Audit Service in promoting accountability and good governance.
