Eugenia Shorme Nortey is a highly accomplished finance executive with over 19 years of experience in auditing, finance, and leadership. As the Deputy Auditor General responsible for Finance, Administration, and Human Resources at the Audit Service of Ghana, she leverages her technical expertise, leadership acumen, and passion for excellence to drive results.
Eugenia holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Professional Studies, Accra, and an HND in Accounting from Accra Technical University. She is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Ghana.
With a career spanning over two decades, Eugenia has progressed through the ranks, serving in various capacities, including Director of Audit and Assistant Auditor General. Her leadership has been instrumental in strengthening operations, making departments efficient and accessible to all stakeholders. Notably, she was recognized as part of the outstanding internal Audit team in 2005 and served on the Budget Committee's rate-fixing sub-committee in 2007.
Eugenia's expertise extends to the audit of some foreign missions abroad; and has also performed several audit assignments locally. Her commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism has earned her the reputation as a trusted and respected leader in the Audit Service.
Outside of her professional pursuits, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and unwinds by listening to gospel music.
