ASB Promotes an AAG to a DAG

ASB Promotes an AAG to a DAG

The Audit Service Board (ASB) has promoted an Assistant Auditor-General (AAG) at the Performance and Special Audits Department (PSAD), Mr. Lawrence Ndaago Ayagiba, to the position of Deputy Auditor-General (DAG) after coming tops in a competitive interview held in July 2020. Until his promotion, Mr. Ayagiba was responsible for the audits of infrastructure at PSAD.

The position of a DAG has become vacant due to the impending retirement of Mr. Blessed Baffuor-Atta, a DAG at the end of September 2020.

Mr. Baffuor-Atta is responsible for the audit of local government (Metropolitan Municipal and District Assemblies). He is exiting from the Service after 32 years of service having risen through the ranks to the position of a DAG.

The DAG in charge of Finance, Administration and Human Resource Development (FAHRD), Mrs. Roberta Assiamah-Appiah, announced Mr. Ayagiba’s promotion to the new position in a circular dated 27 August 2020. Mr. Ayagiba has been an AAG since 2008 and is one of the personnel who has helped in developing the PSAD.

In a related development, a Director of Audit and Secretary to the ASB, Mrs. Vera Quashie, has also been promoted to the position of Assistant Auditor-General.
