Management of the Audit Service organised a ten-day training on Quality Assurance of Financial Audit Methodologies for 30 staff members between in July 2024. The Training is part of staff ability towards the deployment of the Audit Management Information System (AMIS) on audit methodologies adopted by the Service.

Mr. Patrick Neequaye, PFM Focal Person, said that the purpose of the training follows ISSAI 140 (Quality control for SAIs). This requires the establishment and maintenance of a suitable system of quality control which covers all types of audits.

Also, the quality of work performed by the Service affects its reputation and credibility, and ultimately its mandate. Implementing quality assurance processes correctly helps improve the overall quality culture of the Service and ensure continuous quality improvement.
