This transformational programme, sponsored by AFROSAI-E in partnership with the Ghana Audit Service (GAS) forms part of the regional initiative to strengthen leadership and management capacities within Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) across Africa. Running from October 2023 to October 2024, the course was structured into five modules—three residential (in-person) sessions hosted in South Africa, and two online modules, offering a flexible yet robust hybrid learning format.
The Henley programme brought together professionals from SAIs across the AFROSAI-E region, including participants from Ghana, Kenya, Ethiopia, Somalia, Namibia, Zambia, Lesotho, Gambia, Sierra Leone, Botswana and Eswatini. This regional composition provided a rich platform for cross-country learning, peer engagement, and knowledge sharing around public sector management and leadership.
The graduating staff have expressed deep gratitude to the Auditor-General of Ghana, whose endorsement and continuous support enabled their participation in the programme. They also acknowledged AFROSAI-E and Ghana Audit Service for the sponsorship and Henley Business School for the high-impact learning experience.
The knowledge and practical tools acquired through the programme are expected to significantly enhance audit leadership, organisational transformation, and performance within the Ghana Audit Service.
As the Service continues to invest in the professional development of its staff, this milestone reinforces its commitment to excellence, accountability, and continuous development.
Congratulations to our graduates!
