The Leadership of the Public Services Workers Union (PSWU) of the Trades Union Congress of Ghana paid a courtesy call on Dr. Pamela Graham, the Auditor General of Ghana in her office on Friday 24th July 2026.
The Public Services Workers’ Union (PSWU) unionizes workers across over seventy-five (75) Public Sector Organizations including the Ghana Audit Service.
The purpose of the call was to congratulate the Auditor General, Dr Pamela Graham, on her appointment to exchange ideas of common interest for both parties. This common interest being the successful delivery of the mandate of the Audit Service as well as promotions and welfare of its staff.
Representing the Union leadership was Mr. Bernard Adjei, General Secretary of the PSWU, assured the Auditor General and her team of support of the Union, adding that management can find a friend in the Union even amid disagreements. He continued that although the relationship between Management and the Union will not always be rosy, the Union will always seek to be decorous in its approach. He congratulated her for being the first woman to be appointed as Auditor General of Ghana. Mr. Adjei was joined by Mr. Boakye Yiadom, Chairman of the Audit Service Division of the PSWU, and Brother John Doe, the Administrative Secretary of the PSWU.
Dr. Pamela Graham, the Auditor General, assisted by her management team made up of all the Deputy Auditors General welcomed the Union representatives. She expressed delight at the visit and assured the workers of her quest to promote their welfare. She added that she will seek to bring onboard the varied experiences she has gathered from her 25 years’ working experience and that from the private sector to support the successful delivery of the mandate of the Audit Service.
The engagement ended with both parties agreeing to regularly engage and work together to address all pending issues and also surmount any thorny issue that might emerge during her leadership.
