Audit Service to Establish Six New Regional Offices

Audit Service to Establish Six New Regional Offices

The Audit Service will establish six regional offices in the newly created regions which will be operational in 2020. The Auditor-General (A-G), Mr. Daniel Yaw Domelevo, said this when he interacted with staff of the Service in Bibiani, Sefwi Wiawso, Goaso and Techiman in the Western North, Ahafo and Bono East Regions respectively.

Therefore, the AG said that Management had started renting facilities to serve as temporal offices while the Entity Tender Committee continued with procurement processes to contract construction firms to build permanent offices and bungalows to house these offices and staff.

Mr. Domelevo appealed to staff to live exemplary lives and update themselves with the relevant laws governing public financial management. Staff in the regions requested for office equipment and regular training. Mr. Domelevo took advantage of the opportunity to visit staff in Enchi and Asankragua district offices as well as Sunyani, the regional office.

He paid courtesy calls on the Regional Ministers of the three aforementioned regions. The Ministers pledged their support to the A-G and the Service in securing lands and utilities to ensure smooth set up of the new regional offices.
