Board and Management of Audit Service pays courtesy call on Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II

The Board and Management of Audit Service paid a courtesy call on His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II – King of Ashanti Kingdom at Manhyia Palace.

The visit was to brief the principal authority of Ashanti Region about the commissioning of the Agona-Ashanti District office, a yet to be established Regional Office in Kumasi, and to invite him to the maiden edition of the District Auditors’ Conference.

Welcoming the delegation, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II expressed his appreciation for the visit and commended the Audit Service for it hard work and commitment in protecting the public purse.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, urged the Service to continuously ensure that the public purse is protected so as to help accelerate the growth of the economy.

Prof. Edward Dua-Agyeman, Chairman of the Audit Service Board, eulogized His Royal Majesty for His enormous contribution over the years towards the development of the Audit Service.

Mr. Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu, Auditor-General, in his remarks, thanked the Asantehene for his wise counsel adding that the Service would continue to enhance transparency and accountability in public financial management.
