Handing over of sites for the construction of Regional and District offices to the contractors

The sites for the construction of the 16 District and 3 Regional Offices have been handed to the contractors after brief ceremonies at the various beneficiary districts and regional offices across the country on Friday 14th January, 2022.

The handing over ceremonies were attended by the following dignitaries. The  Chiefs and Elders, the Regional and District Co-ordinating Directors, the MMDCEs, other officers from the Regional Co-ordinating Council of beneficiary regions, officers from the District Assemblies of the beneficiary districts, the Consultant’s Representatives, the contractors and other stakeholders

Mr. Ali Mohammed Zakaria, DAG/FA&HR and Mr. Lawrence Ayagiba, DAG/PSAD/ Project Co-ordinator were at Apam and Dodowa respectively to represent the Auditor-General. The Regional and District Auditors represented the Auditor-General at the other locations. The Procurement Staff together with the staff of beneficiary offices were witnesses to the ceremonies.

The entire project is being undertaken with a loan from a German Bank, KfW. Eight Contractors have been selected through a National Competitive Tendering procurement method to carry out the project. It is expected that the project will be completed within 12 and 9 months for the Regional and District offices respectively.
